The County Foundation announces Learning Project Funding
initiative of the J.W. McConnell Family Foundation and the Laidlaw Foundation) to continue the PEC Youth Collective Impact (Youth CI) initiative in its Vital Signs Learning Group. This is a structured collaborative project, with over 20 local organizations working together to achieve a common goal of supporting PEC youth in reaching their potential through participation in educational, arts, cultural and civic activities.
A substantial portion of this funding will be allocated to hiring youth who will assist in the development and implementation of the Youth CI initiative. Youth CI

The Huff Family receives a great honour
The County Foundation would like to congratulate Visionary Patrons Catharine and Lanny Huff on their 2017 National Philanthropy Day Award as “Outstanding Philanthropists” presented by the South Eastern Ontario Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. A wonderful ceremony was held in Kingston last night. The County Foundation was delighted to contribute to the nomination led by Loyalist College. Congratulations Lanny and Catharine and thank you for your ongoing support throughout our community.

Jack and Ruby Lockyer Ward Fund Opens Grant Opportunity
The County Foundation is pleased to announce a grants program funded by the Jack and Ruby Lockyer Ward Fund that was established in 2015. Each year the fund will award up to $5,000, to a Prince Edward County entity to support a program or project that is intended to advance the quality of life of the people who live and work in The County. More than one project might be considered. The award, which is not intended to supplement general revenues, will be adjudicated by The County Foundation’s pool of grants committee members.

The Wynne Thomas Arts Development Fund Grant Opportunity
The County Foundation is pleased to announce The Wynne Thomas Arts Development Fund. Each year the fund will award up to $5,000, to a Prince Edward County Arts Organization to support a program or project that is intended to advance the awareness, appreciation and the role of the arts in The County. More than one project might be considered. The award, which is not intended to supplement general revenues, will be adjudicated by The County Foundation’s pool of grants committee members.

Community Consultations Begin in November
The County Foundation (TCF) and the Prince Edward County Police Services Board invite you to share your thoughts and ideas about our community’s strengths and what you see for our community’s future.
A series of open community conversations will take place in a number of public places in the County on the dates and at the locations indicated. Additional sessions will be held with key stakeholder groups. The Public Community Consultations are being held as follows:
